Lana's first day in her new world...

On 19th July 2006, 11:19 pm, after 24hrs of labour pain, 7 hours unberable contracts....
I gave birth to Lana.


She was perfect, the most beautiful little baby...I could not beleive she was mine. When she came out she was not making a sound, instead she was already busy searching....where am I...who are these people...???

She was small & cute, weighed 2.8 kg, scored higher than average in her first test, where they check to see eyesight, alertness etc. All soaked, she had nothing to say, until she was taken from my view & then we heard the most beautiful sound, lana was crying. Her first sound.

She was always active even when she was in my womb. Always kicking, swimming around, until she was too big to move. Then she would poke her fingers, legs, back, sometimes I would have to push them back cause of the discomfort. Doctors had a hard time measuring her while we did a scan, because she was so active.

Well, our 9 months of waiting to see our baby girl was all worth it in the end. She was the most beautiful thing that came into our lives & changed it forever.
